CAMERON PARISH, LA (KPLC) - The development and growth of small businesses in Cameron Parish will get a little easier with a $375,000 investment from the Delta Regional Authority, announced Wednesday by Chairman Chris Masingill.
"We must help small business owners do what they do best - create good paying jobs and grow our economy," Masingill said.
The investment comes in the form of the Cameron Local Enterprise Assistance and Recruiting (CLEAR) Center.
The center will focus on anticipating the business needs of the community and recruiting entrepreneurs to meet those needs.
According to the DRA, the work will include technical assistance with business plans, mentoring and connecting capital to budding entrepreneurs.
"This investment will develop the environment we need to create jobs today and economic opportunity for years to come," Masingill said.
