Sequester impacts to be felt this week

Happy Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Today, $85 billion in budget cuts will slowly begin taking effect.  Louisiana stands to lose millions in federal funding, including the Head Start program for 1,400 children.  We'll take a deeper look into the money cuts today.

*You only have a few days to register for the April 6th election in Calcasieu Parish.  We'll tell you what you need to do before Wednesday to be ready to vote in the next election.

*We have an update on the Lake Charles couple that raised more than $30,000 in three days for an adoption.  They're at home this morning with their new baby daughter, Eliana.

*Despite what you may have heard about "work from home" policies falling out of favor with American employers, it is still a popular perk at some companies.  Find out about that trend and its connection to productivity.

*We will also open up the Sunrise Pet Shop to introduce you to an animal in need of a new home.
