The Baggett Twins Honored at Senior Day, But Fall Short Against Central Arkansas

Caitlyn Baggett finishes with 19 and Ashlyn Baggett finishes with 16, but the Cowgirls fall short 77-69 in Overtime against Central Arkansas.

Megan Herbert of the Sugar Bears stole the show with 35 points and 17 rebounds.

The twins were honored in front of one of the biggest crowds of the year pre game, as they've had two of the greatest careers in McNeese Women's Basketball history.

Ashlyn is Mcneese's all time leader in three pointers and is second all time in points while Caitlyn is the all time leader in assists and third all time in scoring.

 

The Cowboys had multiple chances but fell short against Central Arkansas 68-67.

Central Arkansas missed clutch free throws in two situations but McNeese was unable to capitalize.

The leading scorer for McNeese was Desharick Guidry with 24.

The Cowboys honored seniors Dontae Cannon and Jeremie Mitchell prior to the game.

 

Bboth teams will have a few days off before traveling to Southeastern Thursday.

    Nationally, according to the FBI, only 64% of homicide cases are solved but the Lake Charles Police Department has had only two cold cases since 2001.
