LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

KPLC's Gerron Jordan is on the scene of a major crash on La. 14 near the I-210 exit in Lake Charles.

Authorities responded to the crash which happened after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Several agencies are on the scene.

Lake Charles Deputy Chief of Police Mark Kraus said the crash involved one vehicle, occupied by three males.

Kraus said the car was traveling on the eastbound exit ramp off I-210 when it ran into a barrier.

Kraus said two are dead as a result of the crash and one was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area for the next several hours.
