McNeese State University will tip-off its final home weekend of the basketball season on Thursday night when it hosts Oral Roberts at 7:30 p.m. at Burton Coliseum in Southland Conference action, according to McNeese Sports.

The game will follow a 5:30 p.m. women's contest between the two schools as the Cowgirls trail the first place Golden Eagles by one game in the league standings.

For the game, McNeese athletics is teaming with Samaritan Feet to help raise awareness of the millions of children that go without shoes.

To show his support of the cause, head coach Dave Simmons will be coaching the game barefooted.

McNeese is also asking fans to make a $10 donation to Samaritan that will go to purchase one pair of shoes for a child.

All the money raised will reportedly be kept in Southwest Louisiana.
