MOSS BLUFF, LA (KPLC) -
The KPLC 7Stormteam travels to the Walgreens in Moss Bluff today, (Thursday, Feb. 28), to program your NOAA weather alert radios.
They will be on location from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., and will be able to assist you during those times.
This is all part of the KPLC 7Stormteam's commitment of helping you stay ahead of severe weather that could threaten our area at any time.
The weather radios are for sale at all area Walgreens locations for a cost of $34.99, plus tax. That cost includes a set of AA batteries to get you started.
The radios are programmable down to the parish level and will only alert you if the warning is for the parish in which you live.
The 7Stormteam is planning several more of these events in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for further announcements on when they will be at your local Walgreens location.
