LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
One suspect is sought in a Lake Charles shooting.
According to a news release from Deputy Chief of Police Mark Kraus, on Sunday, at 9:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to an abandoned home on White Street in reference to a shooting.
Kraus said Acadian Ambulance transported a victim to a local hospital from the scene for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.
Kraus said the suspect in the case is described as a black male with a slim build. He is reportedly around 6-feet tall and was wearing all black with a red bandana across his face.
Kraus said officers searched the abandoned home and surrounding area but did not locate the suspect.
Kraus said the initial investigation indicates that the victim was lured to the home to be robbed.
