I am thrilled to be a new addition to the KPLC news team! There is no better place than Louisiana. I was born in Baton Rouge, raised in Benton, and eventually headed back down south for college.
I attended Louisiana State University where I fell in love with the city, culture and football. My time in college was spent jumping between various organizations. I was involved in Tiger Television, LSU Triathlon Club, Cycling Club, Chi Omega Sorority and Campus Crusade for Christ.
My reporting career began at LSU where I reported for the student-operated sports show on campus. During my senior year, I began an internship at WAFB, KPLC's sister station, where I was then hired as a producer during my last semester.
Writing is my passion and I love sharing news stories from the state that I love. I graduated with a degree in Mass Communications with minors in both Business and History.
My time spent away from the newsroom includes running, biking, swimming and most recently, bow hunting. I love getting to know people and look forward to becoming more involved in the Lake Charles community.
