JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

A registered sex offender in Jeff Davis Parish is accused of residing with a child and violating sex offender laws, according to a news release from the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office.

Christopher Ivey, commander of the department's criminal investigations division, said on Friday, authorities opened an investigation after receiving an anonymous tip that a registered sex offender had a child living in his home.

Ivey said 60-year-old Glen Adams Sr., a convicted sex offender, was arrested on failure to register and notify charge after authorities said he failed to provide information that a mother and her child had moved in with him six months ago.

Ivey said Adams also violated parole. Ivey said as part of Adams' parole guidelines, he is not allowed to reside with a juvenile. Authorities said the child had been living in Adams' home for six months to a year.

Adams was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on no bond as well as a probation hold.
