IOWA, LA (KPLC) -

Cajun Cowboyz restaurant on East Miller in Iowa caught fire early Thursday.

Witnesses said it caught fire around 1:30 a.m. and the flames were as high as 20-feet.

It was a total loss.

The restaurant was reportedly recently remodeled. It had operated under different names, including Southern Magnolia Cafe and Big Daddy's.

Iowa Fire Captain Glen Mott said when firefighters responded, smoke was pouring out of the roof and the interior was already on fire. He said the building was gutted.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters worked until about 9 a.m. Thursday morning, extinguishing the flames. Firefighters from Lacassine, LeBleu Settlement, Buller and Iowa responded.
