LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Close to 150 students from McNeese State University gathered in front of the university in their craziest costumes and props on Wednesday to take part in the Internet dance craze, the Harlem Shake.

It was organized by the Southwest Louisiana collegiate chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

For the students, it was a way to promote McNeese and the organization, but it was also a way to take a short break for some good, clean fun.

"The turnout was great. It was much better than I expected. I didn't realize how many people would want to come out and dress as crazy as they did and just have a wile time," said Matt Lundmark, vice president of the AAF college chapter.

"Actually, it was awesome. It was OK that like everybody came out here, show support to McNeese. It was just fun. It was great," said McNeese junior Clarissa Fontenot.
