A Starks man accused of sex crimes in Calcasieu Parish was arrested in Lufkin, Texas on Saturday for outstanding warrants.
Clarence Emory Sanderson, 74, was wanted by Louisiana authorities for five counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Calcasieu Parish authorities said the charges stem from a complaint in September 2012 received by the Department of Child and Family Services regarding Sanderson.
Sanderson is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a 7-year-old.
Authorities said Sanderson lived in Starks at the time of the alleged incidents.
Ray Berry of the Lufkin Police Department said his department got a call from Louisiana authorities with information and an address in Lufkin that Sanderson might be living.
LPD went to that location, located Sanderson and arrested him.
Sanderson is being held in the Angelina County Jail on $1.5 million bond. He is awaiting extradition to Calcasieu Parish.
