BAYOU CORNE, LA (WAFB) -

Drilling has been completed on a well that will be used to monitor seismic activity near the Bayou Corne sinkhole.

The drilling rig was removed from the site over the weekend, allowing crews to install monitoring equipment in the 1,000 foot deep well.

Seismic activity is being checked in nine total wells in the area around sinkhole.
