LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -
Survival is key, so you better run fast! That's the goal for the first zombie 5k run put on by Fusion Five.
Fusion Five is an organization for young professionals to come together to better SWLA. The 5k took place at a farm in Roanoke. Approximately 125 runners participated and 40 zombies.
Zombies hid behind trees, barns and sheds. As runners passed, the zombies chased them. Each runner wore two "life"-flags.
Whoever made it back to home-base with a flag left on their belt was considered a survivor.
Fusion Five plans to have more themed 5ks in the future.
