Following press release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office:

On February 14, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a home on Guernsey Drive in Ragley regarding a stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim had been stabbed in the chest following a domestic altercation with Wendy A. Istre, 33, 107 Guernsey Drive, Ragley. 

Medical emergency personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment for a punctured lung and he is currently listed in stable condition. 

Istre was arrested and booked into Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with attempted second degree murder. 

Judge Michael Canaday set her bond at $100,000.

CPSO Cpl. Melissa Mareno was the arresting deputy.
