Stranded Cruise Ship

This is Cynthia Arceneaux from the KPLC newsroom. Some people in Westlake have relatives on board that Carnival cruise ship that's been stranded in the Gulf of Mexico. We'll talk to them today on 7news at Six.  In the meantime, Carnival Cruise Lines says it's making the passengers as comfortable as possible.

A man charged with the rape and brutal beating of a 94 year old DeQuincy woman is now on trial. Gabe McKeel is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated burglary, and aggravated second degree battery. The alleged incident happened in January of last year.

And the glitz and glamour of Mardi Gras has ended, with thousands of costumed revelers preparing to give up the Carnival season's celebrations for the start of Lent. We'll look in on Ash Wednesday masses around the Lake Area. Join us today at Five, Six, and Ten.
