Happy Mardi Gras! Lots in store today

Happy Mardi Gras morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*It's Fat Tuesday and there is no shortage of things to do today.  From parades to chicken runs, we'll have the breakdown of events across Southwest Louisiana.

*It's been nearly four years since a woman was killed and left on the side of a road in Moss Bluff.  There is no suspect behind bars for this crime, but that's not stopping investigators in their quest for justice.

*Debate continues in Oberlin as the town faces a $200,000 budget deficit.  Now the mayor wants to change the health insurance plan for town workers.

*It's a big release week for new DVD and Blu-rays.  From James Bond's latest flick to a documentary about bullying, there are a lot of options to add to your film library.  We'll have details in the buzz.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry is tracking the rain still lingering around the area.  He'll let us know when it will lighten up and if the parades this evening will be rain-free.

Make it a Sunrise day!
