Paws with a purpose

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a  look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

What a gloomy way to start the work week off.  Ben tells me the rain continues with the exception of a few breaks this afternoon. And the joy continues tomorrow with more rain in the forecast…but will our Mardi Gras be a complete washout? Get all the details in Ben's live, local forecast at noon. You can also access weather information 24/7 HERE.

Pope Benedict is stepping down from his post as of Feb. 28. This makes him the first pontiff in 600 years to resign. What happens now? At noon we'll take a look at this decision and reaction from Catholics to the announcement. In the meantime, you can read more HERE.

Also today, there's a new way to do your taxes online – you can use your smart phone. We'll show you the most useful apps for your mobile devices that may make tax time a little less taxing.

Plus, see how a puppy missing a paw since birth is providing inspiration and comfort to physical therapy patients.

Remember, you can always watch us live online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and be careful out there in all the rain.
