Chris McGill puts the 'Perfect Tortilla Pan' set to the test

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Some people love togo to restaurants where they can get whatever they want served up in a warmtortilla bowl! Well, now you don't have to waste the gas money on a trip tothat favorite restaurant. You can make your own tortilla bowls at home, according the manufacturers of the 'Perfect Tortilla Pan Set'. This week I'mgoing to 'Try It Before You Buy It.'

I've had a lot of requests lately to try outthe 'Perfect Tortilla Set', so the last time I was out searching for new 'asseen on TV' products to test, I found it and grabbed it for this week'ssegment.  The 'Perfect Tortilla' is suppose to transform any regular softtortilla into firm tortilla bowls for you to serve up salads, soups or even icecream.

The set comes with four non-stick 'PerfectTortilla' pans that are dishwasher safe. I had some smaller soft tortillasin my fridge so I used those for the test, however, larger tortillas will makebigger and better bowls with this set.

The whole concept is very easy. Just pressthe tortillas into the molded pan, set the oven to 400 degrees and wait. Forcrispier tortillas the directions recommend leaving them in the oven between 9and 11 minutes (that's what I did).

After the baking was done, the tortilla bowlscame out great and came right out of the pans without any sticking. Cleanup is very easy too!

You can buy the 'Perfect Tortilla Pan Set' onlineor in some stores. I found my test product at a local Walgreens store for$10.99.  This week, I'd have to say the product worked and the price wasreasonable. Check out the video to see how it all worked out!

For the rest of today we will continue to see cloudy skies and not many breaks in the clouds. The front that came to us yesterday has stalled and is moving back to the north. This will take just about all of the rain up with it. Therefore, we should not see as much rain today. There could still be a few small showers, but not everyone will see rain. Temperatures will be warm once again, and will reach the upper 70s, near 80 degrees.
