A celebration to honor Louisiana's rich musical heritage is happening hundreds of miles away from the Bayou state this Saturday.
Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., to host the 6th Annual Louisiana Grammy brunch.
The event honors Grammy nominees from Louisiana.
"We are especially excited about our Grammy nominees this year since we are highlighting Louisiana's music throughout 2013," Dardenne said.
Those on that list are Hunter Hayes, Frank Ocean, Dr. John, Corey Ledet, Wayne Toups and Joel Savoy.
Ledet, Toups, and Savoy will perform at the brunch.
The Grammy Awards are Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.
