BATON ROUGE, LA (KPLC) - Two area lawmakers have filed bills relating to local panels for the 2013 Legislative session which begins April 8 in Baton Rouge.
House Bill 18, by Rep. Mike Danahay, D-Sulphur, if approved, would outline that the Sulphur Industrial Development District meet quarterly instead of monthly.
The bill is assigned to the House Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs panel.
House Bill 12, by Rep. Johnny Guinn, R-Jennings, proposes to appropriate funds for payment of a consent judgment in a court matter in 14th Judicial District Court.
The 2013 session convenes at noon April 8. The session must wrap up on June 6, by law.
