CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office authorities say a Moss Bluff man used a social media site to make contact with a 14-year-old boy who he engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with.
Authorities said 30-year-old Micah Woodward is charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and criminal trespass.
Authorities said on Saturday, at approximately 11 p.m., deputies spotted a 14-year-old boy sitting inside a car at the I-10 beach parking lot with an older man, later identified as Woodward, after park hours.
"When questioned by detectives, Woodward advised he used a social media site to make contact with the victim and stated he never met the juvenile until this incident. Woodward also advised detectives that he picked the juvenile up from his home and confirmed he performed oral sex on the juvenile prior to deputies arriving at the I-10 beach," the release states.
Woodward was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
Authorities said on Monday, Woodward was released on $35,500 bond set by Judge David Ritchie.
