CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A man has pleaded guilty to 40 counts of aggravated sexual battery in Calcasieu Parish.

According to 14th Judicial District Court officials, Sheldon Edward Parker entered a guilty plea Monday.

The incidents reportedly occurred between Jan. 1, 2008 and Aug. 31, 2011.

Parker, of Sulphur, pleaded guilty to all of the counts he was charged with.

Assistant District Attorney David Palay prosecuted the case and accepted the plea with the consent of the victim, officials said.

Sentencing in the case is set Aug. 9.
