Like a zombie, sitting on a flower pot

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Some great news for the Patriot Dog program. A very big donation for them to help train homeless dogs to help military veterans with PTSD.

Also today, we'll show you how a customer at a Michigan car dealership manages to drive away with a Range Rover without ever paying a penny. The whole incident is caught on high quality surveillance.

No one wants to have their home broken into, but imagine for just a moment what it would be like if your heard the suspect grunting outside like a zombie? Oh yeah, that happened. Take a look at the bizarre story HERE.

Now if you're looking for more "fun" zombies, there a big event coming up here in Southwest Louisiana. You can learn all about a special zombie run HERE.

Plus, you might not want to snuggle with your pet if you're home sick with the flu. We'll offer advice from one veterinarian who is researching whether your pet can catch the flu from you.

Our weather pattern is changing from dry weather to chance of rain. Ben tells me the first in a series of disturbances will push thru overnight, but there could be a few showers this afternoon as well. How much of a rain chance can we expect tomorrow? What about the rest of the week? Ben's working on his live, local forecast right now so be sure to tune in at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a great day!

Members of McNeese State University's marching band, Pride of McNeese, are preparing to make the trip across the pond. That's because the McNeese Marching Band was invited to perform in London's 2018 New Year's Day Parade in 2016. More great weather this weekMore great weather this week

Tonight, skies will be clear and we will have little to no chance for rain. It will not be as cold tonight. Temperatures will still get down to the 40s for Southwest Louisiana, so we should not see any freezing temperatures. If you head out tonight, you will still need to grab a light jacket. As we go through this week, the weather will be nothing less than perfect! We will have lots of sunshine and little to no chance for rain. We are on a gradual warming trend.
