"Westfield Patch" has recently published an article highlighting the work of Patrick Crann, a lacrosse coach who has done a great deal to cultivate the talent of players in his community. Both a coach and a consultant, he provides the insight that players need to improve their skills—and their odds of competing at the collegiate level—while remaining sensitive to the fact that players in high school, and even those who are younger, are still in many ways children. Alanna Waters lacrosse coach, praises Crann's efforts to act as an ambassador for the sport while providing the support that his players need to take their careers as far as possible.
According to the article, Crann is a coach at Glen Ridge High School and a consultant who helps "players and parents navigate the extremely competitive and daunting process of college recruiting." He has led seven high school All-Americans, two NJSIAA players of the year, and numerous All-State students since beginning his coaching career. Today, he is seen as a leader in the lacrosse field and he continues to provide guidance and motivation to his team.
"Sports are starting to play a serious role in college acceptance," comments Alanna Waters, lacrosse coach. "Having gone through the recruitment process myself, as both a player and as a coach, I know how fierce the competition can be. Their coach's support and guidance through the college recruitment process can make or break which schools players get into. It is truly rewarding to help a player gain admittance to college and compete at the collegiate level. It is even more rewarding, as a coach, to see lacrosse open doors for some players that these individuals may never have thought possible. For some players, their success in lacrosse can dictate the possibility to have a college education at all. A high school player's dream would be to have a coach like Crann, with his lacrosse experience and expertise of the game. He truly is an ambassador of the game and will undoubtedly help many players excel to the next level."
Waters is dedicated to the sport of lacrosse and she greatly appreciates the efforts of other coaches, like Crann, who strive to lead their teams to success on the field.

Alanna Waters lacrosse enthusiast, is currently the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Wheaton College. In 2011 and 2012, Alanna Waters, lacrosse coach, led the Junior Varsity Burlington High School team. Additionally, she is NCAA certified and holds certification in the fundamentals of coaching, fundamentals of girls' lacrosse, concussion safety, and first aid from the National Federation of State High School Associations.
