Spicy weight loss secrets

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Last December we told you about 4 men holding up the Barksdale Federal Credit Union in DeRidder. At the time 3 of the four had been arrested, and a fourth was still on the loose. Well no more - we have news of the arrest of a Beaumont man in the case.

Also today, internet crimes against children are on the rise and with the addition of new smart phone apps, kids can chat and send photos to anyone. So, today we'll offer up some advice for parents on how to protect your children.

Speaking of children, it seems an unfortunate part of our world – stories dealing with rare birth defects. On our website right now, you can view a story of a beautiful little girl who was born without a bottom, but who is now getting a real chance through the use of delicate surgeries. See that story HERE.

Plus, wouldn't it be nice to just zap away unwanted pounds without having to give up chips, cheese or barbecue sauce? Doesn't sound possible, but there are those who swear by a new super spicy weight loss secret. We'll have the lowdown.

In weather, Ben tells me we should be in the upper 50's to low 60's by this afternoon with lots and lots of sunshine. Tonight will bring with it more clear skies and cool conditions. How low will the temperatures drop, and what about our weekend? Look for all the answers in Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air. We hope you join us, and have a wonderful weekend everyone!
