MANY, LA (KSLA) -
Many Police have made yet another arrest in the fatal shooting of a local man in early January.
Jinonave "Smoke" Wilson becomes the fifth person charged in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Tyrus Hall outside the old Dew Drop Inn on January 5.
Hall was shot several times early that morning outside the nightclub venue. Police say 19-year-old Khelif Hicks of Shreveport was collecting money at the door when Hall and 19-year-old Tyler Holden of Florien approached and robbed him. Investigators believe Hall shot Hicks, while Holden grabbed the money box and ran.
Hicks was arrested a week later, after turning himself in to Many police. He was booked into the Sabine Detention Center, charged with one count of second degree murder, two counts of attempted second degree murder, and two counts of criminal damage to property.
In addition to Wilson, two others have already been charged with accessory after the fact to second degree murder: 26-year-old Damien Hart and 22-year-old Victor Powell. 19-year-old Tyrone Holden of Florien is also charged with simple robbery in connection with the case.
