LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA (KPLC) -
A Rayne man was killed in a Monday crash on La. 342 in Lafayette Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police, killed was 49-year-old Troy Sarver.
Troopers said Sarver was traveling in a 2008 Dodge truck east on La. 342.
Troopers said for unknown reasons still under investigation, Sarver traveled off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected to the right and overturned in a ditch.
Troopers said Sarver was not restrained and was pronounced dead by the Lafayette Parish Coroner.
Troopers said it is unknown if Sarver was impaired.
Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
