The suspect in the shooting in north Sulphur has been apprehended, according to authorities.

The shooting happened at a home at 427 Bankens Road in north Sulphur around noon Friday.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office authorities say the alleged shooter is 42-year-old Chad Dean Peshoff. Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kim Myers said he is being charged with attempted second-degree murder.

The victim is reportedly Peshoff's father.
