FENTON, LA (KPLC) -

A Fenton man is accused of computer solicitation, indecent behavior and child pornography production.

According to a news release from Christopher Ivey, commander of the Criminal Investigations Division at the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Desmond Alfred was arrested Wednesday following an investigation.

Ivey said in early January, the Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Bellevue Police Department in Bellevue, Nebraska in reference to an ongoing investigation.

Ivey said according to Bellevue authorities, in December 2012, an investigation began in reference to computer aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Authorities said the complaint was filed by the father of a 12-year-old, who found inappropriate text messages and pictures on her cellular phone.

Ivey said investigators learned the suspect was residing in Jefferson Davis Parish.

Ivey said the Bellevue Police Department contacted the Sheriff's Office for assistance in the investigation.

The investigation revealed that Alfred had been in contact with the victim since early June 2012, according to Ivey.

Ivey said on Wednesday, detectives executed a search warrant at Alfred's home.

Alfred was booked into the parish jail.

No bond is set at this time.
