LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A suspect in a shooting case has turned himself in, according to authorities.

According to Lake Charles Police, Brandon Demoin Franklin has turned himself in

Authorities said on Jan. 18 at 3:28 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the intersection of N. Shattuck and St. Mary Streets.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment, authorities said. 

Authorities said the investigation revealed that the suspect was Franklin.  

Judge Davis has signed an arrest warrant charging Franklin with attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentalities.
