Gun control measures top federal and state agendas

It's Thursday and the sun will be shining over all of us today!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The White House is working on plans to rally public support for President Obama's sweeping new gun control measures, but the proposals are expected to face tough opposition.  This morning we have national and local reaction.

*Governor Bobby Jindal wants to make some changes to background checks when people buy guns.  Find out what that would involve.

*A man on trial in Lake Charles yells at a local judge.  We'll have details on this case and where it goes from here.

*New developments on the old Sears property in downtown Lake Charles.  A developer who wants to revitalize that property gets more time for the purchase.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry has a look at a pleasant forecast moving into the weekend!  Finally:)
