Federal agents investigating teacher porn arrest

Federal agents are now involved in the case of a Henderson school teacher arrested for possession of child porn. Henderson ISD teacher, 42-year-old James Brent Malone, was arrested and booked into the Rusk County Jail. Longview cyber-crimes division was instrumental in uncovering evidence that lead to the arrest of Malone for possession of child pornography.

"We sent two of our detectives out to meet with them and they went out to a house out on County Road 323," says Rusk County Sheriff Jeff Price.

Investigators say multiple printed pictures of child pornography were found at Malone's home. His computer was confiscated.

"Malone was then arrested on the scene and taken to the county jail," Price says.

Now federal agents are involved. Longview police confirmed that U.S. secret service agents have joined the investigation. Exactly what they're investigating has not been released.

"The next step is to continue to assist cyber-crimes and present it to the district attorneys office," the Sheriff says.

Its not believed anything is connected to school computers. Henderson ISD immediately put Malone on administrative leave. Investigators say they will continue to search Malone's computer and belongings to see if there are any other pornographic materials. James Malone remains in the Rusk county jail on a 10-thousand dollar bond.
