SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

A tractor trailer caught fire near the Chemical Waste Management Plant on John Brannon Road off Highway 108, south of Sulphur in the early hours of Friday.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, along with the Carlyss Fire Department, a state Haz-Mat team and the Calcasieu OEP, are investigating the incident.

Authorities on Friday afternoon said the truck was carrying material from a spill when the cargo caught fire.

There is no word on any injuries.
