BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Six teenagers have been arrested by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office for a fight that caused the Mall of Louisiana to be evacuated and closed Saturday night.
The arrests include three girls and three boys, all ranging in age from 13 to 15. Their names have not and will not likely be released.
It appears other business owners are preparing for what could be round two that is scheduled for this coming Saturday night.
WAFB is told the incident last Saturday night was supposed to be one big gathering for a group picture. Deputies say several small fights occurred in various parts of the mall with the largest fight occurring in the food court area.
While there were an estimated 200 juveniles in the area at the time, it was unclear how many people took part in the altercations. Some say round two is the attempt to do what they were intending to do at the mall, to take a huge group picture. But this time it is supposed to take place at the former Don Carter's, which is now the All Star Lanes Bowling Alley.
The Bowling alley is taking no chances and they are increasing their officer presence for the upcoming weekend.
"We definitely always have extra duty officers Friday and Saturday nights. We're extending the hours and extending the number of officers in order to make sure we have a safe environment for our customers and staff," said Michael LaCroix, All Star Lanes General Manager.
LaCroix says everyone who comes through has to wear a wrist band on the weekends which lets them know those people are there to bowl.
Anyone there without a wristband, officers will ask them to leave.
Sheriff's Deputies did arrest six people in connection to the fight at the Mall of Louisiana Saturday; three girls and three boys, all between the ages of 13 and 15.
