Mobile Home Shooting

This is Cynthia Arceneaux. Here's what we're working on in the KPLC newsroom. Three men face several charges in connection with a shooting at the Two Kings Trailer Park on 6th Avenue, in which a woman was shot in the head. Police say the three men are accused of firing rifle shots into mobile homes and the woman was hit in the head by one of the shots. Police say all three suspects have extensive criminal histories.

And we'll fill you in on the latest in the Mardi Gras Boardwalk transaction with the city. If it seems like the process has been slow, city attorney Billy Loftin says that's because they want to make sure everything is done to protect the city and the taxpayer's money. The city council met yesterday to go through the last revisions of the transaction turning over the old Harrah's property to Mardi Gras Boardwalk.

And look who's about to become a reality TV star? None other than our own former Governor Edwin Edwards and his 34 year old wife Trina! The series is being launched on the A&E Network, and will follow Trina Edwards as she attempts to fit into the former governor's upscale world and busy social life.
