More rain chances ahead, plus latest on fiscal cliff

Lee Peck from the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

It was a wet start to 2013 as some streets south of town were overwhelmed by flooding. The rains are also ushering in some cooler temperatures. More tonight from Meteorologist Cedric Haynes with a look at what we can expect as you head back to work.

Plus, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office says they are still investigating the beating at New Year's Eve party that sent one man to the hospital and another to jail and that more arrests are still pending.

And a Florida man is arrested after authorities say he abandoned his newborn baby in a strip club.

Also the House is expected to vote on the Senate-passed "cliff" bill. At this hour they are still debating but a vote is expected later this evening. We'll have the latest.
