LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Elite Services towing company in Lake Charles has rolled out their "Tow and Geaux" program- coming to the rescue of impaired drivers for free during this holiday weekend that has been known for many accidents at the hands of impaired drivers.

"We know that during this holiday period, people will go out and drink and we want to make sure they're safe," said  Adrien Benoit.

Benoit is the General Manager for Elite and explained how the service works.

"If you've been out and you think you shouldn't be driving, just give us a call and we'll come and get you and take you home," he said.

Benoit was sure to stress the service isn't like a taxi or limo service.

"We won't take you to other bars. We'll take you to a safe place of residence," he said.

The service is restricted to the Westlake, Sulphur and Lake Charles areas. If you need to take advantage of the service, contact Elite at: (337) 433.3548.

"This is all about keeping people safe," said Benoit. "Not just that impaired driver, but everyone else on the road too."
