Barbe Bucs looking for State Title at Superdome

Barbe Bucs take field at Superdome for practice just before big game Barbe Bucs take field at Superdome for practice just before big game

Good Evening,

Lee Peck from the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

The big story for the weekend is just now getting underway as the Barbe Bucs look to take home their first 5-A State Championship. KPLC's Sports Director Drew Shirley is at the Superdome and has you covered on the outcome as the Bucs take on Rummel.

And who will return to Congress? Republicans Charles Boustany and Jeff Landry are in a heated runoff for the newly redrawn 3rd Congressional District. KPLC's Olivia Vidal is covering this race and will keep us updated all night long.

Plus, Tis the season for giving but we're off to a slow start for KPLC's Community Christmas and the Salvation Army's Angel tree collection. Tonight, we'll tell you several ways you can make the holidays easier for a Lake Area family in need.

Also at Six Cedric made mention of some much cooler weather on the way. I think I recall him using the words "near freezing" temperatures. He'll have more on your extended forecast.

These are just a few things coming up tonight at ten. We hope you'll join us, but until then for the latest in news, weather and sports – remember we're online at kplctv.com and anywhere on your mobile device.
