A live look at the Barbe Bucs championship send-off

Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what we have in store on today's Sunrise:

*The Barbe Bucs football team is set to leave from the school this morning to head to the New Orleans Superdome.  I will be there with live interviews as the team departs for a chance at the state championship!

*Crews in the Bell City area hope to finish fixing a pipeline leak that has been seeping out ethylene since Wednesday night. Official say there is no threat to the people living in that area.  We will have the latest on efforts to repair it.

*Phelps Correctional Center in DeQuincy officially closed just over one month ago.  Now the focus is on bringing jobs back to the area.  Hear how privatization could affect those plans and how the property deed impacts the future.

*There is a meat mystery that has investigators scratching their heads.  A loaded gun packed with seven rounds of ammunition is found by a grocery store worker inside a case of frozen meat.

*Christmas festivities pick back up this weekend across Southwest Louisiana.  Find out where you can see Santa and hear some great music!

*Meteorologist Cedric Haynes is in for Ben Terry and has your weekend forecast, plus a look at a cold front headed here soon!

Make it a Sunrise day!

"It's like using a post hole digger, where you've actually got to dig the oysters up by hand and pick them up and put them on your boat by hand," said Leo Dyson of Cameron.
