Probation revoked for Devin Badon

Devin Badon, convicted of negligent homicide in the death of Stephin Bergeron in Calcasieu Parish, was just wrapping up his time behind bars -- for that offense. But now, he will have to spend five

On Monday morning,  in Cameron Parish,  his probation was revoked for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and theft.

Badon's probation was revoked because he was convicted of the negligent homicide. Generally, the terms of one's probation include not getting into trouble again.

Also, Bergeron's family is holding a fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.  The purpose is to raise money to buy a headstone and final medical bills.

It's at the VFW Hall at 1325 E. Napoleon (Highway 90) in Sulphur.  The event will include BBQ plate lunches, pool tournament, washer tournament, poker run, fun jumps, live and silent auctions and a live D.J. For more information, call Christina at 562-6625 or Jeremy at 884-0068.

Stephin Bergeron was born Oct. 26, 1990 and was murdered on April 13, 2011 at the age of 20.
