Following his very recent kidney failure diagnosis, Alex Karras died on Wednesday. And acknowledging that he both did well in the field and in the screen, entertainment and sports news website GreenBeanBuddy,com said he should be remembered as both a great actor and outstanding NFL player.

Alex Karras has passed away. The 77-year-old died on Wednesday according to a report from philly.com. And acknowledging that he did very well both in the field and in the screen, GreenBeanBuddy.com commented that he should be remembered as both a great actor and an amazing NFL player.
Based on the report, Karras died at his home in Los Angeles following his recent diagnosis of kidney failure. Earlier this week, he was released from the hospital so he could spend his remaining days with his wife and kids.
Nonetheless, apart from the kidney failure, the report related that other illnesses contributed to the deterioration of his health. He had dementia and heart disease according to his family and friends. For the last two years, he also suffered from stomach cancer.
An NFL Hall of Famer, Karras was considered one of the best defensive tackles during his football days. However, he was most famous for his acting roles as the adoptive father in the “Webster” and the outlaw “Mongo” who punched a horse out in the “Blazing Saddles.”
Karras is survived by his second wife Susan Clark and five kids. Four of them are his children from his first marriage.
