BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Baton Rouge General Doctor is behind bars after an Internet Crimes Against Children sting. The doctor, James Hargroder, 64, of Baton Rouge, thought he was communicating with teen girls on the internet, but it was actually detectives with a special investigative unit.

Hargroder was arrested Wednesday morning and was charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Investigators said Hargroder sent sexually explicit messages and video of himself in July to what he believed was a 14-year-old girl living in East Baton Rouge Parish.

They said he sent two videos of himself over the internet committing lewd and sexually explicit acts.

According to deputies, an agent identified Hargroder from those videos.

He was arrested Tuesday morning and agents searched his home.

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

EBRSO said other agencies may have additional charges for him.

Baton Rouge General Hospital contacted WAFB and said Hargroder has been suspended. The doctor had a clinic and done contract work with the Baton Rouge General Hospital.

This arrest was a joint investigation by the EBRSO Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Office of the Louisiana Attorney General, Franklin Police Department, Louisiana State Police and Homeland Security Investigations Unit.
