Two arrests have been made in the Tuesday shooting death of 22-year-old Alfor Wheeler, of Rayne.
According to a news release from Rayne Chief of Police Carroll Stelly, arrested were 20-year-old Terrell Tmichael Lyons of New Orleans and 19-year-old Quincy Raheem Markee Mouton of Church Point.
Stelly said that the arrests came after an investigation into the shooting, which happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of Reynolds Street.
Lyons has been charged with second-degree murder. Bond is set at $250,000.
Mouton was also charged with second-degree murder with bond set at $250,000. He was additionally charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder. Bond on that charge was set at $50,000.
Both men are in the Acadia Parish Jail.
Authorities say that the investigation continues.
