Sulphur authorities investigate armed robbery

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

The Sulphur Police Department is investigating an armed robbery.

According to a news release from Chief of Police Lewis Coats, during the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 20, an unknown male entered the Royal Palace Casino at 504 N. Beglis in Sulphur, armed with a handgun and demanding money.

Coats said the man is described as a short, white or Hispanic male with a dark complexion.

Coats said the man was wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants and a red bandana.

The man reportedly left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
