OGDEN, UTAH (KPLC) With their 35-21 win over Weber State Saturday night, the McNeese State Cowboys improved to 3-0 for the first time since the 2009 season.
The Pokes added a season-high 557 yards of total offense, including 301 yards on the ground. This marks the fifth straight game the Cowboys have rushed for at least 200 yards.
The highlight of the night was junior wide receiver Diontae Spencer's 91-yard touchdown run, which set a new school record.
McNeese State opens up Southland Conference play next weekend in Hammond against Southeastern Louisiana.
