EUNICE, LA (KPLC) -
A murder happened in Eunice Friday night at the same house where another murder took place 18 months ago.
Police say officers responded to a home at 111 Prairie Street on reports of a homicide. Officers found a woman dead inside the home. The woman's husband is identified as a suspect. After reporting the identity of Robert Lee Heard, by Saturday morning Heard had been taken into custody by Shreveport Police.
Eunice Police will travel to Shreveport today to transfer Heard back into custody in Eunice where he'll face 1st degree murder charges. Heard reportedly has an extensive criminal record with arrests reported in California and Shreveport. He had recently been paroled as well.
The address, 111 Prairie St. in Eunice is reported by police to be the same home where another homicide occurred. Gerald Bellard charged in the death of Delores Wilkes.
