JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

Family and friends gathered in Iowa to celebrate the life of Ledia Marie Dupont LeBlanc. A native of Jennings she will turn 100 years old Monday, September 10th.

LeBlanc said her secret to a long and happy life is going to church and good cooking.

"I also love dancing. My husband and I used to go dancing every Friday and Saturday night. We loved it," said LeBlanc.

She married Eugene LeBlanc of Lacassine at the age of 16. The couple would have four children and raised their family on a farm.

LeBlanc's mother died at the age of 101 years old.

She is proud of her life and legacy that lives on through her 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.
