LSU's impressive victory over North Texas last weekend made absolutely no difference in the polls.

The Tigers are still #3 in both the AP and Coaches Polls despite a dominating 41-14 win over the North Texas Mean Green. This might be because the Mean Green looked not so mean and more... spearmint, but it probably has more to do with Alabama's destruction of Michigan on national TV.

The Crimson Tide jumped over USC to claim the #1 spot in both polls, while LSU, Oregon and Oklahoma round out the top 5 in both polls. LSU will blow out Washington this weekend.

"A much-improved Washington team, and we have to play well," head coach Les Miles said. "This is a great week for us to improve, because Washington is very, very capable."
