Back here in Lake Charles, the McNeese Cowboys are pleased but not satisfied after their win over Middle Tennessee last Thursday.
McNeese State will play its home opener this Saturday against McMurry, and the Cowboys can't wait to get on the field in front of the home fans.
"I know the players are excited," head coach Matt Viator said. "They've been talking about it, they were talking about it on the plane. It's a great place to play, obviously, and they're very very excited."
"It's going to be very exciting for us," running back Marcus Wiltz said. "We didn't get to play our first game at home, but the second game is home, and coming off a big win, we know everybody's going to come out there and support us, and we just want to come out and play McNeese football and put on a show for the fans."
